FitBack are guest speakers at the Healthy Active Workplace Conference in Cornwall

FitBack were guest speakers at the Healthy Active Workplace Conference in Cornwall in September, presenting alongside The British Heart Foundation, Wales At Work and Local District Councils.

A presentation on “Back pain in the workplace” was followed by a practical demonstration of their FitBack For Life Class where attendees were able to join in and experience the class at first hand.
“We invited FitBack to talk at our first Healthy Active Workplace Conference in Cornwall on the 19th September 2008 as Back Pain is such a big issue for sickness absence. Having seen FitBack present at the Birmingham NEC in March I really liked the idea of a practical session with such a preventative angle on back pain. I know many companies in the audience were very impressed and interested in FitBack’s concept. The idea of implementing it in with mandatory manual handling training makes good sense and can capture so many employees. Feedback from the 89 companies that attended on the day has been very positive”.

As a result of the conference FitBack are now talking with local Primary Care Trusts, Councils and businesses who are looking to reduce the incidence of back pain and other musculoskeletal injuries amongst their workforce.
